Peddling and Sitting

Here we are in Yangshuo.  After a week of final exams for my Chinese class, Tom wrapping up the final details of his dissertation and packing up our junk in Hong Kong over the last couple of days we are so happy to be in this lovely place.  We'll be here for about a week of peddling bicycles along windy roads amongst lime stone mountains that look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book.  I'm also looking forwards to relaxing on the edge of the Li River or a rice paddy.  The last time we were here, four years ago, it was during late fall.  The rice had been harvested and was standing in ricestacks in the fields.  Now the paddies are green with young rice.

We'll be staying at this guesthouse of a couple of days.  Check out the pictures on their web page http://www.gigglingtree.com/

In just over a week we'll be sitting on the edge of the prairies of Alberta.  Different but just as beautiful.  Looking forward to it.

Yangshuo!?! Sigh.... beautiful Yangshuo. So glad to hear you made it back there. As much as we are enjoying being back, we could definitely go for a few days of peddling in that part of the world.
Have fun!
