The Inaugural Gathering of Learning Specialists in Wetterpeg

I attended on my first national conference a couple of weeks ago in Winnipeg. It was the inaugural Learning Specialists Association of Canada Conference. It rained on and off over the three days I was there. Flying in and out of Winnipeg if was very obvious that the land was saturated and the rivers were high.

When the sun did peak out for a couple of hours on the Saturday I took the opportunity to explore the campus. Some of the older buildings a very impressive. The campus is bordered by the Red River on almost three sides.

Overall I didn't see much of Winnipeg which is a shame but the conference was great. I learnt a lot from my colleagues from colleges and universities from across the country. This is just the beginning of the exchange of ideas.
