Spring Festival Preperations

On Saturday Tom and I spent the afternoon at the Flower Market. Despite the cold and rain it was bustling with people with arm loads of cut flowers in preperation of Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year.
Cherry bloosoms, lilies, narcissus bulbs, minature organe trees and peonies are just some of the festive plants being carefully selected and bought in abundance.

Just as in Canada, pussy willows are a pleasant reminder that spring is on it's way.

A shopkeeper ready to help us pick the most beautiful and fragrant flowers so that our New Year is full of good fortune and good health.
