A Bungalow Built for Two

Toronto could not bare to see us go. We encountered a few difficulties while attempting to leave the city with our borrowed truck and horse trailer. With a combination of stand still traffic on the Gardiner Express Way, electrical shortages in the truck, the mysterious disappearance of phone books in Toronto, the hunt for a place to fill the truck up with propane in the big city and a 24 hour dinner in its original 1955 state, we had an epic (5 hour) adventure trying to leave T.O. But we made it with the help of our brother-in-law on his birthday. Thanks Don!
This is our little two bedroom bungalow. We moved in one week ago and we haven't once felt any longing for our apartment above the dumpsters in Toronto (but we do missing our friends of course). We are located just one block from a multi-use trail that connects Kitchener and Waterloo. It's called the Iron Horse Trail. At the end of our street there is an outdoor swimming pool and two blocks up from us there's a great little bakery. We have everything we need just a walk or bike ride away.
This is the set-up that hauled all of our stuff. And to think that we moved to Ontario last summer from Alberta with just our little Saturn. I guess that's what a free store in your apartment building and dumpster diving will do to you!
We owe many thanks to our moving crew who helped us unload the truck and trailer in an hour, which took us a whole lot longer to load. Thanks also to Mathias at the Toronto end who was a great help with the loading.

So your house is between Kitchener and Waterloo? That's cool, my aunt and uncle live just outside of Kitchener. That's exciting that you have a house now! Congrats!!! Hope you are doing well.

Love, Jen
